Glen M. Poole

Glen M. Poole, 46, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:14 P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2003 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Glen worked at Ten Pin Bowling Alley as a maintenance man.  He was a member of First Christian Church of Du Quoin.  He also was an over-the-road trucker, an avid bowler, and loved fishing.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam War.
He was born August 27, 1956 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of William and Glenna (Miller) Poole.
He married Judy Diane Campbell and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Clinton, IL, his parents - William and Glenna Poole of Lincoln, IL, one daughter - Patricia Poole of Lincoln, IL, brothers and sisters - Charles T. Caraker and wife Janice of Troy, IL, Walter L. Poole and wife Mary of Murphysboro, IL, Beth Roos and husband David of Beason, IL, Debbie J. Mileham and husband Rollie of Lincoln, IL, Fred E. Poole of Lincoln, IL, Penny L. Jones of Du Quoin, IL, and Ruth A. Wright and husband Bobby of Du Quoin, IL, three grandsons, nineteen nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother - William Poole, Jr., two uncles and one aunt.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 7, 2003 at the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville with Bro. Kenny Jones officiating.
Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
Military rites were conducted by Du Quoin American Legion.
A gathering will be held at Ten Pin Alley in Du Quoin for family and friends following the service.
Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin was in charge of arrangements.
Those attending the services were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
